Saturday 17th September 9am – 4pm

Forfar Funduro – Watch as over 200 riders battle it out to see who will become the winner in this spectacular Enduro Mountain Bike Race with 7 stages across Balmashanner Hill and Reid Park! Limited on the day entries available.

Forfar Funduro Dual Slalom  – Watch as riders go head to head down a slalom course through Reid Park and over Jumps to see who will be fastest!

Scottish Cycling & Big Tree Campervans Youth Races – Young People from all over Tayside, Angus and Fife battle it out in round 1 of this regional race series.

Demo Bikes – Available from Angus Cycle Hub, Kona, Lapierre, Hai Bike Electric Bikes and more – come and try before you buy: NOTE photo ID and proof of address required!

Adaptive Bikes  – Come and try the latest adaptive bikes, trikes and dual control bikes from Blazing Saddles & Angus Cycle Hub 10-4pm

Cycle Skills Course – Test your cycling skills on our track with jumps, bumps, skinnies and balance sections, rental bikes available, 10am – 4pm

Trade Village – Grab and browse the latest cycling gear from lots of shops and traders.

Good Food – from Stone Baked Pizza, Vegetarian options and Cream Teas we have it covered!

Smoothie Bikes – Make your own delicious smoothie by pedal power courtesy of Angus Soft Fruits and Stirling Cycle Hub.

Recycled Bikes – come and check out our recently refurbished and recycled bikes with prices starting from just £20!

Live Music  – From local bands courtesy of DD8 Music

Bouncy Castle – Jump up and down to your heart’s content on the bouncy castle – sorry its just for kids!

Sunday 18th September 9am – 4pm

Scottish Cross Country Championship (SXC)  – We are lucky enough to be hosting the final round of this national race series. Come along and cheer on the athletes as they tackle laps of our tough cross country course across Balmashanner Hill and Reid park.

Airbag Best Trick and High Jump Competitions – Come and watch our spectacular Airbag competition as riders jump over 20ft into the air! Or why not join in! £15 to play all day!

What is it?

From Kids races to Enduro’s, Fat Bikes to Skinny Tyres, Pump Tracks to Airbags   – The Angus Cycling Festival (ACF!) has it all. We have a packed 2 month schedule starting in August and culminating with the 2 day long Angus Cycling Festival based in Reid Park in Forfar on the 17th & 18th September 2015.

Cycling Activities For All Ages! – Trade Stands, Racing, Test Bike Track, Food & Drink, Family Entertainment, FREE Bike Checks, Craft Tent, Face Painting, Demo Bikes, Stunt Airbag, Live Music, Local food and much much more!

Angus Cycle Hub, Muckmedden Events, Angus Council, The SMBC & Angus Bike Chain CC are all working together to produce 2 months of “Ang-tastic” biking shenanigans just for you!

Grab the opportunity to ride some of the best roads and trails in Angus – “Birthplace of Scotland” with the people who know it best – and to make it even better loads of the ACF events are absolutely FREE! Whether you haven’t had your road bike out of the shed for a while, you want to enter your first Mountain Bike race, or you fancy an epic wild adventure without getting lost, there is an event for you at ACF. And to finish off the second Angus Cycle Festival with a bang we’ve organised a huge two-day, celebration of Cycling at Reid Park, Forfar on Sept 17th & 18th. We have crammed as much as possible into the two days, so in addition to the events below, you’ve also got a whole weekend of family fun and events for all abilities and ages to look forward to….

Watch the 2014 Festival Highlights

Where is it?

Events are being held across the Angus region (please refer to the individual event details for info) but The Angus Cycling Festival Weekend on the 17th and 18th September 2015 will be at Reid Park, Forfar, Angus. Access to the event will be by Viewmount Road, Forfar and signs will guide visitors to the car parking at Reid Park from the A90 Dundee to Aberdeen Road.

What facilities will there be?

Toilets, baby change and disabled facilities will be on site at Reid Park and there will be plenty of food vendors to help fuel hungry cyclists.

How much does it cost?

Entry to The Festival is FREE however there is a charge for anyone that wants to take part in the various events and activities on offer at Reid Park (excludes Forfar Funduro Race Entry, SXC Race Entry, Big Tree Campervans Youth Race Entry). We also ask that you might think about Donations for onsite car parking.

Whats more all profits go back into developing Cycling in the Angus region!

For two years now we have successfully ran the Forfar Family Ride and every year it has been fully booked for our leaders. This year, we have ensured that there are plenty of leaders to take you and your family members around Forfar Loch and to view all the sites. Unlike other years however, we are running the family rides from the Angus Cycling Festival Event Village and opening the rides to all if they are not already fully booked.
